DOJA Cat and her father, Dumisani Dlamini, have launched into a lelike family feud - airing their dirty laundry on the internet.
The American singer, born Zandile Dlamini, performed in South Africa for the first time, at the Global Citizen Move Afrika concert at the SunBet Arena at the weekend.
In a TikTok video captioned “The deadbeat chronicles”, the 30-year-old shared how she had contacted her Sarafina actor father about meeting during her trip to SA.
She said: “He [Dumisani] said that he couldn't make it to my show because I don’t message him enough and call him on WhatsApp”.
Doja cheekily added that she had pranked her toppie by sending him a link to “gay porn”.
But the Yizo Yizo star hit back in a since-deleted video, claiming that Doja Cat “faked” trying to meet him and claimed she was “brainwashed” by her mother, Deborah Sawyer.
He said: “I’m sad because no one knows what happened.
“Today I want to tell the world that I’m going to be used by a white woman with three kids that I was feeding.
“I took care of her kids. White kids. They hated me
“Then that woman brainwashed my baby; that I left her. I never left my kid.
“She [Doja Cat] played the cards because of the influence of her mother.
“She came to South Africa, she’s got power to see me, and she faked it.
“Dumisani added that he was “a man of integrity, respect and love”.
