The Rotary Club of Blouberg has partnered with Bayside Mall to collect Easter eggs for children at local crèches in the area.
Rotarians spent Friday, March 27, and Saturday, March 28, at a collection stand in the shopping centre, encouraging shoppers to donate Easter treats for less fortunate children.
The initiative forms part of the club’s ongoing community outreach efforts ahead of the Easter period.
Blouberg Rotary Club spokesperson Helène Visser said the public response had been encouraging, with many residents stopping by to support the drive.
“We are grateful for the generosity shown so far and hope the community will continue to support us in bringing a bit of joy to children at local crèches this Easter,” she said.
The collection will continue on Saturday, April 4, from 10am to 4pm at Bayside Mall.
Residents who are unable to visit the stand can arrange an alternative collection by contacting Graham Claydon at 0835571021.
2 boxes of Easter Eggs had been collected at the weekend.
